Zen starts with taking a moment to sit, rather than finding the perfect meditation cushion. A comfortable space and suitable essentials can help. The official Zen.nl webshop offers meditation supplies, books, incense and tea for your own practice or as a thoughtful gift.
Meet the person behind the shop
The shop is run by Remko de Beer. He first encountered zen at Zen.nl Tilburg in 2011 and has managed the webshop since 2016. An introductory course grew into his daily work as a zen teacher, coach and location manager at Zen.nl Midden- en West-Brabant.
In 2021, Rients Ritskes appointed Remko as a zen master. Remko is involved with the Zen.nl locations in Tilburg, Breda, Oosterhout and Bergen op Zoom. His interest is in zen in everyday life: how can the attention you practise on your cushion carry over into work, conversations and daily decisions?
This connection between practice and everyday life also guides the webshop. You are buying from a shop with an identifiable owner and a direct connection to zen practice. Read more about Remko on the Zen.nl teachers page (in Dutch).
